In Pakyong, awareness and training sessions were conducted for school students to build environmental knowledge. Students visited nurseries, learned about plant propagation, and understood their role in sustaining future restoration efforts. This educational intervention ensures long-term commitment to conservation by engaging younger generations directly in forest stewardship.

In Dentam, restoration activities targeted high-altitude grassland slopes where young saplings were planted and supported with stakes. Continuous after-care ensured plant survival in challenging terrain. The intervention aims to rebuild native vegetation, stabilise fragile mountain soils, and restore ecological balance across elevated landscapes affected by degradation.

During the environmental observance, a collaborative plantation event brought together elders, officials, and villagers. The activity symbolised unity in ecological responsibility. By planting native species, the community strengthened degraded forest patches, increased carbon sequestration, and promoted climate resilience, aligning with broader environmental goals for 2025.

Soreng witnessed a mass plantation and maintenance campaign covering terraced forestland. Volunteers spread across the site to clear competing weeds, inspect sapling health, and plant additional trees. The large-scale operation accelerated ecosystem recovery, improved vegetation density, and created a continuous corridor for wildlife movement

A project focused on reviving barren or degraded land through structured plantation and soil rehabilitation. Community members cleared invasive growth, restored planting beds, and established moisture-retaining vegetation. Over time, these efforts promote soil enrichment, reduce erosion, and convert previously unproductive areas into thriving green landscapes.

In Sichey, residents organised a coordinated tree-planting drive aimed at rejuvenating forest edges and community-owned green spaces. Saplings were planted strategically to increase canopy density, reduce soil loss, and enhance biodiversity. Community involvement ensured effective monitoring and long-term survival of plantations, reinforcing participatory forest management.

Forest officials facilitated an orientation programme in Pakyong, training volunteers on restoration techniques, forest protection, and ecological monitoring. Participants learned best practices for plantation maintenance and habitat improvement. This capacity-building initiative ensured that field-level restoration activities could be implemented more effectively with skilled community support.
